Field of Dreams Renovations Update

Field of Dreams has undergone a number of renovations over the past few months, and many projects are currently in progress. This week Shearson Environmental Designs installed new pavers outside the concession stand by Toscani Field. Volunteers will be needed Sunday, April 23 to help move pavers. 9,000 were moved last weekend, and another 4,200 need to be taken care of this Sunday. Players are encouraged to help, and volunteers with trucks and SUVs to help load and unload the pavers will be necessary. If you do not have work gloves, some pairs will be available.

Now that a new curb has been paved and the edge has been defined on the parking lot side, the road will finish being paved in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for announcements regarding the specific days paving will take place.

A new electrical connection has been set up between the two concession stands, and the trench required to lay that in has been filled.

Gary Brooks and CertainTeed restored the announcer's booth behind Cappelletti Field with new paneling and updated windows.

A number of reinforcements have been made to existing structures. As you'll see below, Marty Cappelletti installed support beams for the leaning batting cages in the Robl Field parking lot. And new poles  were added to the Haas Field dugouts.

Shearson Environmental Design has backfilled and seeded the grass along the field side of the curb. While the straw blankets are in place, please be advised not to walk on them.

There's nothing like a sharp makeover to celebrate Berwyn-Paoli's 30-year-old home. BPALL would like to thank everybody who has helped and continues to help complete these projects. Everything from updated gathering spaces to improved dugouts to fresh grass will keep Field of Dreams useful, safe, and enjoyable for years to come.
