We’re excited to announce tryouts for our 2025 District Softball Tournament Teams! Representing DSBP in the District 27 All-Star Tournament is a tremendous honor, and we’re looking forward to fielding competitive teams again this summer.

DSBP Tournament Team Tryout Policy
Participation in tournament team tryouts is an essential part of the selection process. Attendance demonstrates a player’s commitment to represent DSBP and allows our coaches to make fair, direct evaluations of skill and readiness for tournament play.
Players who do not attend tryouts without a valid reason will not be considered for selection. However, we understand that unavoidable circumstances—such as illness, injury, or family emergencies—can arise. In those cases, the following process will apply:
- Notification Requirement: Parents must inform the league in advance if their child is unable to attend tryouts, along with a brief explanation.
- Alternative Evaluation: The selection committee and division coaches will use a combination of the following to assess the absent player:
- Regular season performance
- Coach evaluations
- Game observations
- Attendance, attitude, and sportsmanship throughout the season
- One-off Evaluations: In rare instances, and only if necessary, a private evaluation may be arranged at the discretion of the league.
