Softball

Open to all girls in grades 1 and 2 who are league age 8 or younger (born in 2001 or after).

The objective is to have every girl hit and field the ball. Coaches pitch underhand to players on their team. Because this is a developmental league, more than three strikes are permitted to allow girls to put the ball into play.

Open to all girls in grades 3 and 4 who are league age 9 or older (born in 2000 or before).

Emphasis is on continued development of fielding and hitting skills and kid pitch is introduced. Players pitch to the opposing team, but walks are limited and modified rules allow for the coach to pitch to speed play. Scheduling includes teams from Devon Strafford.

Open to all girls in grades 5 and 6 and any 7th grader who is a league age 12 (born in 1997).

Kid pitch with unlimited walks. Games are moderately competitive. Scheduling includes teams from Devon Strafford. Seventh graders who are league age 12 may elect to move up to the Juniors division, but become ineligible for the 12 year-old tournament team if they choose to do so.

* Depending upon registration numbers and in order to field teams in all divisions, we may combine Juniors with Seniors or Seniors with Big League.

All LL softball rules in the "Official Regulations and Playing Rules" book are enforced. Games are scheduled with other area Little Leagues.

Open to all girls league age 15 and 16 (born in 1993 or 1994). *

Open to girls league age 15 and 16. Play is very competitive. Games are scheduled with teams from other area Little Leagues.

Open to all girls league age 17 and 18 (born in 1991 or 1992). * 
 
* Depending upon registration numbers and in order to field teams in all divisions, we may combine Juniors with Seniors or Seniors with Big League.

A league for high schoolers, many of whom play on their high school teams. Because of that and the academic demands of high school, most games are played after school ends into the summer.
