Scheduling and Procedures
Each week, Student Umpire will email the scheduler the days and times that he/she is available that week to umpire. The scheduler will appoint Student Umpires for each Minor Baseball or Softball game each week. Depending on the number of Student Umpires who are available to work each week, a Student Umpire can expect to umpire between 1 to 3 games per week. Minor baseball games are typically 2 to 2.5 hours and minor Softball games usually run 1.5 to 2 hours. NOTE: All first time Student Umpires must attend a Majors Baseball and/or Softball game with an experienced umpire and discuss that game with the umpire, Mr. Buck Buchanan, and discuss that game with Mr. Buchanan before the Student Umpire can umpire a game.
Umpire Equipment
Umpire equipment will be available for Student Umpires to borrow while working BPALL games.
Umpire Uniforms
Student Umpires need to supply and wear a black polo or tee shirt (short or long sleeves) and black pants or shorts.
